About the Community

Healing of the entire person, community, and planet is one of our major goals. We have constructed a labyrinth for healing and spiritual growth and it is open at all times for any who wish to use it. There is also a medicine wheel for those who wish to work on the emotional and spiritual self. This is located next to the Willoughby River and near the sweat lodge. Cleansing of the toxins of modern society, again both inner and outer, is necessary to help us reach that inner place where growth and healing begin. The medicine wheel is also open to anyone who wishes to use it as part of their spiritual growth practices. There are several clan members who have been trained in various spiritual and/or energy healing techniques, who will assist any who come for healing. Our community begins all of our functions with prayer, both personal and group. The scent of sage and tobacco is usually wafting throughout our grounds whenever a ceremony,"pow wow", or drum practice is being conducted. We are becoming increasingly a people of prayer with respect for each person's own way of relating to the Creator.

Our caring for our Community grows as we grow as individuals. We offer all our collective gifts to any who desire assistance. The community at large is always invited to our events and there is never a fee for a spiritual ceremony or "pow wow". Donations are gratefully received at the "pow wow" but no one will be denied access if they are not able to donate. Our chief, Spirit Water, has fed hundreds of people many, many times. In the tradition of older times, he cares for his clan and guests, keeping them well fed ! The wonderful times and memories shared around the chief's "table" will always remain with our clan family.

We invite you to visit with us and experience the community we are building together.
