The Labyrinth NewsletterThis is the tale of the labyrinth! The purpose of this is to guide people into the knowing and the way of the labyrinth, to share experiences, the history and the science of the labyrinth. Labyrinths have been formed by native people all over the earth for at least 7500 years. They are a tool used in harmony with sacred earth-women for healing, knowing, prayer, meditation and inner balance. The most common Labyrinth is the 7 path labyrinth placed on an earth vortex. These vortices or "pores"; through which our sacred earth-mother breathes are like knots on the "Dream Catcher"; or the meeting places on the strands of the spiderweb. As we vibrate one knot of the dream catcher or web the whole thing, all strands and knots, respond. When we do this in harmony with the whole (creator) a powerful song is produced the earth over in all the tools, labyrinths, medicine wheels, pyrimids and sacred sites on these vortices in rhythm with the native cultures doing the same with their rhythms and wats through creators time. The Creator listens and responds. They balance us and that which we carry into these sacred sites. The seven paths like the seven paths of the Hopi labyrinth, the seven layers around the people of the Navaho rugs and blankets, the seven layers of the lotus or the "seven rooms" of his mansion as mentioned in the Bible all connect with our seven energy layers or charkras (wheels in sanskrit). Each is a circle of ourselves and within ourselves, each having its own song, own drumbeat. Living life pulls each of us out harmony with ourselves. Walking the labyrinth with meaning (intent) and in sincerity (focus) balances us and puts us back in harmony. It lines up all our layers along with the bio-electrics and magnetics of our bodies. It puts the patterns and talk within our mind and body into the best space they can be at the time, and can be used to put people and relationships into oneness to the all and each other. Labyrinths have been used for prayer; for as we get in the beat of creators drum and the connection is made with the creator (collective unconscious/allknowing-oneness) and in song with mother-earth (our physical existence) our connection strengthens and our prayers are realized.
