The people of The Clan of the Hawk, Opened the labyrinth with a Blessing and Opening Ceremony on Sunday, October 10, 1999. Many local people and dignitaries attended the ceremonies and the drumming, singing and dancing that followed the opening. Chief Spirit Water and the members of the Clan, an Abenaki Band, of the Notheastwind Council of the Western Abenaki Nation, gave many hours and days of their time, as well as much muscle with some of the larger rocks, reminiscent of the megaliths in Britain, to complete this beautiful and powerful sacred space for all who seek a connection with Gods' magnificent creation, our home, Mother Earth. This was a labor of love for each one of those involved: small children, visitors from overseas, a septegenarian, adults and all of nature that is part of our wonderful tool of healing aand balance. Please come and be blessed by this sacred space, built as a labor of love for all.
